Exhibition

During half term I had some time on my hands, and few exhibitions looked really interesting. I went to three of them: William Klein and Daido Moriyama at Tate Modern, Tim Walker at Somerset House and the Little Black Jacket at Saatchi Gallery.

William Klein and Moriyama is a Tate Modern's exhibition open until the 20th of January.
I focused on William Klein's part as he did a lot of fashion work. Magazine covers, editorials, backstage documentations and films.
It was really interesting how he used his photo board to tell a story, showing the before and the after of the selected picture. I also loved the way he mixed different media, photographs and paint, that is something that I will love to use more in my personal work.

Tim Walker, Story Teller, its a free exhibition at Somerset House, until the 27th January

This exhibition is not to be missed ! It is a lot about props, and it is really interesting to see them real when you've seen Tim Walker's iconic work everywhere. It is like you are invited into his fantasy world. This exhibition showed me how important the set design is.

Tim Walker uses a lot of strong model, like Alber Elbaz

I loved this editorial In Vogue uk May 2011′s Issue, I really enjoyed seeing it big scale,

Dolls are a huge inspiration in Tim Walker's work

And he uses often models that looks like dolls, like Lindsey Wixson

Some of his sketches shows us the way he work before to shoot

A big snail is going around the exhibition

The Little Black Jacket at the Saatchi Gallery finished on the 4th of November. The exhibition was a photo exhibition, styled by Carine Roitfeld and photographed by Karl Lagerfeld, around the iconic black Chanel jacket and all the way it can be wear.
As I went around the room I discovered all Chanel Muses posing for Karl Lagerfeld wearing the Jacket in really personal ways. It was really inspiring styling wise as it shows that you can interpret a garment in a indefinite ways.

street style

It wasn't my favourite shot, but my favourite outfit ( the shot doesn't make her justice, she was really pretty ). I love the way she put together all these colours, avoiding looking like a parrot.
She is different, amazing mix of colours, great style.
knowing that her beautiful hair colour isn't the easier to wear I am saying Bravo !
